Year 4 observed the effects of freezing, melting and boiling water and could discuss how and why these states of matter change.

Year 4 had the delight of investigating the journey of food through the digestive system.  Equal amounts of disgust and fun. We are very impressed with their understanding and correct use of scientific vocabulary.

Year 4 enjoyed a stunning start to English by sampling a pomegranate and using our senses to describe it. We thought about how the characters in our book may have felt when they too ate a pomegranate!

Year 4 were incredibly quiet and respectful as we prayed at each station of the cross in Church. A prayerful experience and we were able to reflect on the events of Holy Week.

Year 4 investigated how far sound can travel.  We decided on the sounds that we’re being made, then measured how far away we could go before no longer hearing the sound.  A great learning opportunity for all!

Year 4 experimented with shape, layering and texture whilst designing and creating their own 3D papier mache volcanoes. A messy, but great job done!

We truly could not be prouder of our fabulous children! All the singers represented our school with amazing, positive attitudes and we had an absolute ball! Their hard work and dedication in preparing for the concert just leaves me in awe of each and every one of them! Well done my lovely…

Year 4 have had a great time in DT. We’ve analysed and tasted what’s out there in the shops, planned our own pizza designs, made our own pizza’s practising valuable cutting and dough making skills, tasted them, then evaluated them! Bellisimo

4 Sacrament braved the elements and were fantastic ambassadors for our school whilst putting their own faith into action and helping the local community by litter picking at Grange park. 

My lovely singers battled their nerves and performed in front of a huge audience at St Walburge’s. They sang beautifully and with confidence.
